It's been ten years since I updated this blog! I guess I've been busy with teaching, running a magazine and organising conventions and haven't taken time for photography. However, as the magazine is about David Bowie, I have done a bit of gig photography with Bowie-related bands which led me to request a photo pass for a recent Billy Idol gig as I'm doing a piece about people who are influenced by Bowie. Truthfully, my main motivation was just to be in the pit and get some great photos of an artist I admire. Generation X, his early punk band, were my favourite band in my teens. I had a great time at the gig with my brothers and enjoyed being in the pit next to the stage. I'm pleased with the results.
